Course Description

This course teaches a data prep workflow for the creation of Ballast & Formation surfaces and Reference Line Maps for use with Trimble Machine Control field systems such as Earthworks or GCS900. The source alignment data is a LandXML file containing Horizonal, Vertical and Cant geometry. Completed course assignments are assessed by the trainers and personal feedback provided. On this course Trimble Business Center is the software used to create the surface files with reference to GEDO Office. A temporary copy of Trimble Business Center is supplied to those taking the course, in addition to an unlicensed copy of GEDO Office. To run Trimble Business Center a Windows 10 PC, with 16GB RAM and a graphics card with at least 1GB RAM will be sufficient.   • Do I need to know how to use Trimble Business Center?

    Prior experience with TBC will definitely help, but there is enough detail in the video instructions and tutorial notes that even those new to TBC will be able to make progress.

  • How many times can I access the course?

    A one off fee provides unlimited access. If you don't have access to a licensed copy of TBC, some restriction will be placed on the free loan period for the software but sufficient to cover all the course exercise work.

  • Does the course cost include VAT?

    Yes, the course is £195 incl. VAT.

  • Is data provided?

    The course uses two data sets to practice basic and more advanced surface preparation scenarios.
